The Palaeolithic Diet
Based on the notion that the advances in agriculture and farming during the Neolithic Age, approximately 12,000 years ago have led to an un-natural lifestyle for modern man, this weight loss program is more concerned with returning to the human race's natural eating habits.
The basic theory of the Palaeolithic diet, or the Stone Age Diet as it is also known, is that certain food are un-natural to man and thus should be avoided, these foods are mainly grains, beans and potatoes; but also dairy products, sugar, salt, pasta and bread.
Foods that the Palaeolithic Diet recommends are meat, including liver and kidneys, chicken, fish, eggs, fruit, vegetables in general and root vegetables in particular, nuts – except peanuts and cashews – and berries.

The basics of the Palaeolithic Diet are very simple, eat those foods which are natural to Palaeolithic man and don't eat those that are developments since the Neolithic era. Unlike some weight loss programs that have set times for eating, the Palaeolithic Diet encourages you to eat only when you are hungry.
Weight loss is possible on the Palaeolithic Diet, initially at a rather quick rate and then slowing as you eventually reach your optimal weight.
